ARTIST APPARAN GEND-ITY WALL AT VIP GRAFFITI SHOW LONDONTo commemorate the end of the International Women's month, street artist
Apparan painted "Follow your Dreams" mural outside
VIP Graffiti show in Tottenham, London.
This also marks seven years since Apparan first started painting in the streets. Her first stencil work with this same message was painted numerous times in London and Bristol and a limited edition of these stencil's were sold out right after.
This wall will become part of the
Gend-dity platform run by Art House Project London promoting gender equality related art events and projects encouraging everyone, and specially women, to do what they really feel they are born to do.
Social pressures on women can be a tough battle. Breaking taboos and stereotypes is only possible through education of the young generations, examples and celebrating achievements. All this can take in the streets. Why not?
